Visitor Visa is also known as tourist visa or a temporary resident visa. If you are a foreign national and are a resident or citizen of one of the countries requiring a temporary resident visa to enter Canada then you would need to apply for it before travelling to Canada.

Most temporary resident visas are valid for six months although you may be able to extend your stay.

The temporary resident visa (visitor visa) can be for a single entry, multiple entries or for transit purposes.

Single entry visa will allow you to enter Canada only once. If you are going to US than you can re-enter and re-exit Canada again and again on this visa.

Multiple Entries visa allows you to enter Canada from any country as many times as you wish during the time the visa is valid.

A Transit visa is required by Canada if you are travelling to another country through Canada if your flight will stop in Canada for less than 48 hours. If you wish to stop-over in Canada longer than 48 hours you would need to apply for a single or multiple entries temporary resident visa (visitor/ tourist) visa.

· Do you have a passport or other travel identification documentation?
